Why are people excited about this

HAVE YOU NOT READ HOMESTUCK

"Finally. The update everyone has been waiting for is here. You go to the MSPA website and click on the link to the final page. The browser chugs as it processes the request, moving significantly slower than normal, taking almost a minute to load the page. Your computer suddenly whirrs loudly and the screen glitches out, icons and pictures appearing and disappearing, aspect changing rapidly, until it displays a black screen. Although your cursor isn’t displayed, you wiggle your mouse around, worried someone had infected the site with a virus which your computer had just been invaded by. A low hum starts to come from the computer, as if it’s trying to process something enormous. You should probably reboot, but you hesitate with your finger over the power button. It’s at this moment the message comes. The screen turns white, and in black text the words “Look Outside” are displayed in the center of the screen. The O in “Outside” is a Sburb portal.

A chill runs the length of your body. No, it’s not a chill, it’s…something more. It’s the feeling you get when you’re caught in a lie, mixed with the feeling one would get if they happened upon their mother’s corpse. Your veins feel as if they’ve been turned to ice. You know what’s behind that window, you know all too well. When you first read Hussie’s update regarding the “secret project” he was working on, you had one of your…visions. You saw blood. Blood of all colors. You saw new planets. You saw new universes and new galaxies. You saw a frog, you saw your friends. You saw gods, but the gods were you and your friends. You saw your mother lying in a pool of her own blood. Thinking about the vision makes you shiver, and you push it out of your mind. There’s no way that can be true, right? None of that can be real! It’s all just a fictional story with no truth behind it.

But no matter how hard you squeeze your eyes shut and try to look away from the red glow that’s coming from the closed curtains over your bedroom window, you can do nothing to shake the feeling of knowing.

The computer still displays the same message. If your premonitions are true or not, there is no denying you need to look outside. You swivel your chair and slowly stand to face the window across your bedroom. A menacing red light shines through the white curtain. It’s just the sunset, you think as you approach it shakily.

Your blood pounds in your ears as you grab hold of the fabric. You stare at the ground and take a deep breath, attempting to prepare yourself for what you’re going to see outside of the window. You grip the sheet tightly and fling it across the rail to reveal…oh god.

It’s not the sunset.”
